Leg-warmers
- Oddly enough, one of my biggest winter walking helpers are my leg-warmers. I wear them high up on my knees, with a few safety pins, because the cold really gets to my tendonitis. It seems strange, but it really works!

Yak Trax
- One of my favorites is Yak Trax. They work the same as Stabilicers. I carry them in my pocket or backpack. Another favorite is wool mittens lined with polypropylene gloves. Again kept in pockets or backpack.

Best Shoes
- I just bought some Salomon Goretex hiking shoes and absolutely love them for winter walking.

Napkins
- For a quick and easy way to insulate your shoes, grab a napkin and put it between the top of your foot and the shoe. This gives great insulation from wind blowing through mesh shoes.
