Instead of Sports drink
- Eating a piece of fruit and some cheese or nuts will give the electrolytes and sodium needed. Can this be a substitute for sports drinks? Along with drinking plain water of course. I personally don't want to have to buy yet another item, especially one that I don't like. I'd rather keep it simple and use what I regularly eat/drink and have on hand.

Re: Don't Worry, Fluffy Loves Everybody
- Not only can "friendly" Fluffy not love everyone they also may not love other dogs, no matter what their owner says. Dogs 'speak' a silent language. They may be afraid, protective of their owner or consider this walking route their 'territory'. Without speaking, they may be saying something very ugly to another dog. I walk with my 2 golden retrievers that do competition obedience. They come to heel when we pass another dog. I have had more than one occasion where a walker approaching with a dog, tells me, "He's friendly"; only to have growling and snarling occur as we pass and a "friendly" golden retriever off leash attack my dogs. Keep your dog on a leash and pass other dogs in 'heel position'; with the dog on your left, to keep them at a safe distance.
