Definition: A measure of the maximum amount of oxygen that a walker can take in and process during exercise. It is measured in milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body mass per minute. It is one measure of a walker's athletic potential. You can increase your VO2 max by working out at an intensity between 65% and 85% of its maximum for at least 20 minutes three to five times a week.
Pronunciation: vee oh to max (noun)

Examples: I am improving my VO2 Max with some more intense workouts.
