The Millennium Dome is a landmark along the Thames River Path. It is the world's biggest dome and was open throughout 2000 to greet the new millennium. It now is the site of concerts and other events. You can use the North Greenwich train/underground station as a starting or ending point or as a restroom stop when walking along the Thames Path.

From the area near the Millennium Dome, you can contine on the Thames Path another 2 miles to the Thames Barrier, a flood barrier that will keep London safe from periodic floods due to high tides.

"The Thames Path" by David Sharp (Compare Prices): This guidebook includes detailed descriptions and maps of every section of the 180-mile long Thames Path. If you want to wander far along the Thames, this guidebook is a good resource.
