The Bottom Line

Teko tekoPOLY socks are seamless sports socks made of chlorine-free recycled polyester. The sweat-wicking fabric keeps your feet cool and dry, reducing the risk of blisters. The socks are shaped with a heel cup, wide toe area, and semi-fitted instep to help keep the socks in place. They come in men's and women's versions, each shaped for the foot characteristics of each gender. They come in low and minicrew versions. They have light cushioning and won't take up much volume in your shoes.

Guide Review - Teko tekoPOLY Socks

What's better than organic? How about a product that recycles material already used, leaving the soil to produce food instead? Teko's tekoPOLY fiber is a high tech sweat-wicking fabric made from 65% post-industrial waste and 35% consumer waste -- all those disposable water bottles. The socks are 76% tekoPOLY and the remainder is nylon and lycra to give the socks their shape and elasticity.

The tekoPOLY fabric is excellent for sweat-wicking and fast drying. Wet feet are more likely to blister, so sweat wicking socks are critical for helping prevent blisters.

The socks are anatomically shaped with a heel cup, toe cup, and a fitted instep area to help keep the sock in place. A good fit is important to prevent blisters caused by extra fabric. Teko socks come in women's and men's designs. The women's design has a narrower heel and tapered toe.

I like the light cushioning rather than the heavy padding seen in many sports socks.

The sizing of the socks is true to shoe size, with almost no shrinkage even when washing in hot water and drying in a hot dryer. They recommend tumble dry or air dry to prevent shrinkage.

I also like that the packaging is fully recyclable. They fold the socks into a cardboard sleeve without using that annoying plastic tie to keep it secured. Bravo, Teko!

Teko socks are made in the USA with wind power.
