The Bottom Line
For women like me who have a short torso, this pack is designed to ride correctly and not overlap your buns. The sternum strap is also positioned for women. I love the 70 oz. Omega bladder with its wide mouth that is easy to fill and clean. The large compartment is perfect for toting enough gear, and the smaller organizer compartment great for easy access to essentials.

Guide Review - Camelbak Day Star Hydration Pack
For longer walks and for hikes, I want a backpack with a hydration bladder so I can carry my gear and also keep drinking. Women with short torsos will appreciate this design made for them. I can't wear the M.U.L.E. because it laps over my buns. The Day Star is shorter and doesn't have that problem. The shoulder straps are comfortably wide and the sternum strap is positioned correctly for a woman. I am a big fan of the Camelbak 70 oz. Omega bladder. It is the right size for a walk of 12 miles or less. It is easy to refill at faucets and water fountains. I like the large compartment for stuffing in your or other gear jacket once you are warmed up. The smaller organizer pocket is perfect for essentials you want access to. There are loops on the back for attaching small articles.
