Day Zero Site
Here you will get checked in, view the safety and orientation video, complete you medical and pledge requirements, get assigned to tents and tentmates, and be issued your walker badge and wristband.  The process requires about two hours and is run throughout the day before the first day of the walk.  Is is wise to dedicate the entire day to this process to start getting in the spirit of the event.

Bus from Union Station to Avon 3-Day DCTravel to the Day Zero
You may arrive at Day Zero using your own transportation method (parking situations will be different at each site).  Or you can select one of the shuttles provided, at cost, from various locations, and shuttles from the Day Zero site to host hotels if you need to stay nearby. You do not need to bring you luggage
with you to Day Zero  unless you are going from Day Zero to a host hotel.  I chose a shuttle bus from Union Station after receiving the travel packet and information from the chosen travel agency for the event.   They sent me a wristband to use for the shuttle.  Arriving at the station, I met others waiting as well - some of them walked last year and this year were going to work on the Crew, others were walkers like me.  Everyone was in great spirits and I learned a lot more about the event from them.  Let your 3-Day experience start in the wait for the shuttle!
