Walk the USA A-Z Program

About the Program:

Follow the alphabet to complete 26 AVA-sanctioned walks, anywhere in the USA, to earn this special award. Each event's start city must begin with a different letter of the alphabet (example: Washington DC counts as a "W" walk). The events may be year-round self-guided trails or weekend group walks sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association.

Dates and Locations:

The AVA has sanctioned routes and scheduled events throughout the USA. "Starting Point", the AVA's yearly guide to their 1400 self-guided trails. Weekend events are listed on the AVA web site by state. The program has special listings for the hard-to-find letters of the alphabet A-Z Program

Registration and Procedure:

The Walk The USA, A - Z Record Book is available for $8. Buy the book and stamp it at each of the events with the AVA-IVV sanction stamp. The program is not retroactive - you must purchase the book and begin to stamp it once received. Only stamps allowed, no handwritten entries. Redeem the book when complete to receive a special 2.5" x 3.5" patch as shown above. The patch is included in the price of the book. A-Z Book Order Form.

Rewards:

When complete, mail in the book for a 2.5" x 3.5" patch.
