Walkers Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

Walkers leave camp for Day 2 of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

What you want: Group walks or walking events so you can walk with other people.

Benefits

  • Able to meet other walkers.
  • Planned route, explore new places.
  • Awards - medals or other reward systems.
  • Can vary your level of interaction with others - talk if you want or not. I have found it very easy to start conversations with others as we meet up along the route during a walking event.

Where to Find

Other Places to Look:

  • Check your local running shoe stores for brochures and publications which list walking and running events.
  • Check with local walking clubs for upcoming events and group walks.
  • Community calendars list upcoming charity walking events.
