The Bottom Line

SportShield is a silicone-based roll-on lubricant that prevents blisters and chafing by reducing friction. It is non-greasy and won't stain clothing. SportShield has many benefits over other lubricants. First, it is fragrance free. Second, it goes on easily both for feet and toes and for underarms and other chafing-prone areas. Just roll it on like a deodorant. You lightly coat the areas that need it, put on your socks or shirt, and you are ready to go. It also comes in single-use towelette packets.

Guide Review - SportShield Roll-on

As a walker who is no stranger to blisters and chafing, I am always looking for products that work. SportShield has many benefits over other lubricants. First, it is fragrance free. Second, it goes on easily both for feet and toes and for underarms and other chafing-prone areas. Just roll it on like a deodorant. It is very slick - they even caution you not to get it on the floor or you may be in for a slippery time. You lightly coat the areas that need it, put on your socks or shirt, and you are ready to go. SportShield doesn't stain clothing. I found it to be very effective at preventing underarm chafing, and it also works well to prevent foot blisters. My usual blister prevention method is to use lots of petroleum jelly, which stain my socks and shoes. Now I use SportShield - by itself for moderate walks, or as the first coating before adding the petroleum jelly for long walks. SportShield stays on all day, and easily washes away with soap and water.
