How to Dress for a Winter Walk

Tuesday November 27, 2007
Dressed for a cold and wet walkHow can you dress for comfort on a winter walk? I have a head to toe, underwear to outerwear advice on what to wear. You will find two key concepts: cotton is not your friend, and layers are your friend. There is a big difference when dressing to exercise outdoors vs. standing, waiting, or short dashes from vehicle to destination. You will warm up as you go, and you will want to be able to regulate your temperature through your warm-up, walk, and cool down. Finally, you don't want to end up wet and clammy with the chance of catching a chill.
