Why I Wanted to Lose Weight

I wanted to slim down.

My Exercise and Diet Journey

All I did was walk 30 minutes a day and replace my drinks with water.

It was very easy to stick to and not very strenuous of an activity. You have to walk every single day. The only days that I didn't walk were days that it rained. I never really skipped any days. Also, you can't stop walking after you lose the weight and expect to stay tiny. I made this mistake and gained all of the weight back (it took a year to gain it back). Good news is that I learned my lesson and I am walking again now. Now I do one hour a day at least.

Lessons learned

  • Walking is the best way to lose weight. so easy to stick to it!

Wendy Bumgardner, Walking Guide, says:

Good job, Tami! We wish you much success in your weight loss efforts. Health authorities such as the US Surgeon General recommend walking for an hour a day, most days of the week as a weight loss strategy. This level of exercise will also reduce risks of type II diabetes, heart disease, and stroke, and is associated with a longer and healthier life.
