Why I Wanted to Lose Weight

To not be chubby anymore and to be around for as long as I can, so that I can see every great thing that will happen in my daughter's life.

My Exercise and Diet Journey

I walk 3.6 miles everyday, if I can, with my dog. He was heavy too. I stopped eating fast food and cut out non-diet sodas. I eat a salad every day at lunch and eat a lot of chicken and veggies at night. I'd always made the new years resolution to lose weight, get healthy, but never followed through. After my daughter was born I decided that it was time.

Lessons learned

  • It is really hard to do, but once you make it a habit it becomes much easier. It is so easy to make excuses not to walk, not to eat healthy, but you just have to say NO! I make up crazy excuses to get out of bed and go walk in the morning. And once I am out there walking, I am so happy. Now I cannot imagine not walking everyday and not eating healthy. I feel so much better now, everything is easier. My life is so much better now.
