Model of Shoe

Name of product:

Z-Coil

Date of purchase:

05/2011

Comfort

Average comfort

Praise or problems with comfort and wearability?

I developed planter fasciitis from working retail full time for the past 20 years. Z coil helped some with the pain in the bottom of my feet, but they are so heavy, that I now also have tendonitis on the tops of my feet. Not for people who are constantly on their feet 40 plus hours a week.

Relief from Discomfort

No difference

What difference have these shoes made?

I now have tendonitis in both feet due to the heavy weight of these shoes

My Review

They are great if you only stand around for up to 3 hours a day. I never am able to sit at work, I stand and walk on concrete floors for 8 plus hours a day. I had the leather Mary Janes and these shoes are just too heavy for people who use them for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time. The only shoe I have found that helps is the Nike Shox. Wish I could wear them but my company forbids any type of sneaker!

Would you recommend this to a friend?

No

Wendy Bumgardner, About.com Walking, says:

Z-Coil shoes are popular with people with chronic plantar fasciitis. But as you found out, they are not for everyone. I do not recommend wearing heavy shoes.
