After a long winter, the first flowers of spring and the songs of the returning birds are welcome for the spirit. Make the blossoms and birds a focus of your walks.
In the Neighborhood
- Choose a route that will take you past the nicest gardens and wetlands.
- Stop and appreciate the blooms, pause for awhile when you spy a bird.
- Take along a camera.
- Talk to your neighbors who are out grooming their yard.
- Keep notes in your walking log on what blooms which week and which birds your note, to compare for next year.
