Willamette Valley Relay Walk

Each team member receives a medal at the finish. In addition, they all get Willamette Valley Relay particpant shirts. There are many door prize drawings and awards for the various categories. We enjoyed listening to the DJ and live music at the finish in Alton Baker Park in Eugene. Many of us bought the great stir fry, relaxed with a beer or soft drink, and shared our war stories of the walk. It had been quite a hot walk for Van 2, who walked through the heat of the day. But those who had the night legs had a lovely starlit night and some saw shooting stars. Our newest team members declared it a good time, and our veterans strategized on what to do next time. We look forward to the Willamette Valley Relay and other team relay walks.
