Willamette Valley Relay Walk

The teams start at staggered times, some as early as 5 am. The start place is historic Champoeg State Park, known as the birthplace of the state of Oregon as that is where pioneers voted to form a government. Our start time was 5:45 am, as dawn was breaking. Walkers must carry flashlights and wear safety vest from dusk till dawn. The walk goes through the forested state park, then out into the countryside where hay, hops, and mint rule the views.
