Definition: A self-guided walking or biking volkssport event. Unlike other volkssport events limited to one or two days with a set start/finish time, a Year-Round event may be open daily, January through December. Maps and trail descriptions are provided at the starting point, usually a local business or hospital. The participant arrives, locates the start box, signs the log, takes a map and enjoys the trail. When finished, they are eligible to get IVV credit in their record books, or to purchase the event award. A year-round event may be done once every half year for event credit, may be done unlimited times for distance credit.
