The River kiosk has a vantage point of overlooking the Columbia River and the Interstate Bridge, which both divide and connect the states of Oregon and Washington. River traffic fueled prosperity and development of the region by both Native American peoples and white settlers. Lewis and Clark camped nearby on their journey to and from the mouth of the Columbia River with the Corps of Discovery.

The kiosk includes a pergola, benches, artwork and interpretive signs.
