The two cedar canoe panels each have a cast-glass sculpture of a Chinook woman's face, which can appear to glow when struck by sunlight or moonlight. The masks were created by artist Lillian Pitt. The Welcome Gate celebrates this tribal crossroads of the Columbia River trail and the Klickitat Trail.

The Land Bridge starts here, a 40-foot wide pedestrian and bike overpass lined with native plants, artwork, and interpretive signs.
