Reader's Description:

"I especially love the Missouri Botanical Gardens here in St. Louis, the flowers, trees & shrubs are beautiful. It makes the world seem so peaceful, if only for a few hours. I also love getting out to Forest Park, a large Park just minutes from the Gardens, that always has something fun to do. Between the St. Louis Zoo for the kids, to the picnics for families, to the beautiful surroundings, its a great place for all to enjoy." ~ Ms Amy

Year-Round Walk Directions:

Forest Park was featured on one of the year-round walking routes in St. Louis - the Central West End Walk, YR 455.
The 10 kilometer walk route is rated easy and flat and also includes:
- the Basilica of the St. Louis Cathedral, with the largest mosaic collection in the world
- the Jefferson Memorial History Museum, on the walk route in Forest Park, which displays gifts and trophies sent to Charles Lindbergh from all over the world to celebrate the first solo transatlantic flight and memorabilia from the St. Louis World Fair in 1904.
