Swiss Hike to Bachalpsee Photos

This photo tour is of the hike from First to Bachalpsee in the Swiss Alps above Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. This is an easy hike that gains only 300 feet in elevation, from the gondola station at First to the classic photo opportunity at Lake Bachalpsee. From mid-June till autumn, this route is known for its alpine flowers. Our walk was in mid-September and most of the flowers had bloomed and gone. At Bachalpsee, there are options for continuing the walk or returning to the gondola station at First.
