They also have package plans. I am a Premium Listener and get two audiobook downloads of my choice per month for $21.95. Basic Listener gets 1 book per month for $14.95.

You can download individual audiobooks from Audible.com without a membership. Often the prices are significantly less than what you would pay to buy the CD or cassette version, and comparable to renting from some other services. But you avoid the mailing hassle, plus you will always have the downloaded book to listen to again or to burn to CD.

Join as an Audible.com Listener and you can download any book for only the monthly membership fee. AudibleManager
Audible.com uses a proprietary format. You can listen to Audible.com downloads on your computer with iTunes, Windows Media Player, or AudibleManager. To listen on your iPod or MP3 Player, you must program it to be Audible Ready. This is generally an easy process with most devices, including the iPod. Audible.com audiobooks are usually much smaller files than taking a book off of a CD - you can easily fit multiple books onto your MP3 player.
