Guide Review - Adidas Adistar Control Running Shoe
If you overpronate, you need a motion control shoe to help correct your gait and prevent further problems. But motion control shoes can be stiff and inflexible. I tried the Adidas Adistar Control because I liked the look of the upper, in my never-ending quest for shoes that won't irritate my bunion. But I was pleased and surprised that these shoes were also plenty flexible.Walkers need a shoe that flexes to allow them to roll through a step. The Adistar Control maintains that flexibility while still providing moderate motion control.
Those with medium to high arches will also appreciate the arch support built into the shoe. I have low arches and so I could really feel those elements. But over the course of a six mile walk, they did not irritate me.
I was shocked to have to buy a pair that was a full size larger than the already inflated size I usually buy for walking shoes. You should definitely try these on for size before buying.
Do You Really Need Bigger Shoes for Walking?
The toe box provides plenty of room for my toes, and the upper doesn't irritate my bunion. I like the fit and the feel of these shoes.
