The Bottom Line
This full-function pedometer is a great choice for those who want to know lots of data about their walking. The two-line display can show distance, speed, calories, time of day, exercise time, and steps. It has a random movement filter the edits out "junk" steps unless you take 5 in a row. It resets itself daily.
Pros
  • Counts steps with high accuracy, edits junk steps.
  • Flip case protects from accidental reset
  • Estimates calories, distance, speed, exercise time
Cons
  • Security strap necessary

Guide Review - TrekLinq Pedometer
This is an excellent pedometer for those who love data. First, it is a highly accurate step counter and also a clock. But you also enter your weight and stride length so it can estimate distance, speed, and calories burned. You can choose to display either miles or kilometers and either pounds or kilograms. The two-line display shows Distance/Calories, Distance/Speed, Distance/Clock, Distance/Exercise Timer, or Steps/Speed. You can toggle easily between the displays. In any mode you can press the Total button to see the grand totals for the past several days since the last reset - up to 14 days. The pedometer resets the daily count itself each night automatically. The TrekLinq has a random step filter so that steps are only counted after you take 5 or more in a row. This edits out junk steps such as might be registered when riding in a car or shifting in your chair. The exercise timer has automatic on/off. The flip case prevents you from accidentally resetting it - a problem with other pedometers without protected buttons. It clips to your waistline and you can wear it comfortably all day. I highly recommend getting it with the security strap. I tested is vs. the most accurate pedometer on the market and it compared very well.
