Guide Review - Ultimate Direction Access 2X Pack
The Ultimate Direction Access 2X provides lots of water carrying capacity.20 oz. Water Bottles with Kicker Valves
Ultimate Direction's water bottles have always been well designed, and they keep improving them. Now they have a Kicker Valve. To open the valve, pull up the red silicone mouthpiece. To drink, you bite it to open up the x-cut and squeeze the bottle. Now to keep it available but leak proof, you kick it to one side. The bottle also has finger grooves for better grip and a big finger loop for easy grabbing or hanging from a strap or carabiner.Breathable and Reflective Belt
The belt is comfortable and easily adjustable. The belt in back of the bottles and pouch is vented and breathable mesh. Reflective piping on the water holders and pouch add to night safety.Zippered Pocket
The zippered pocket on all of the Access packs is just a little too small for me. I can't fit my wallet into it, yet I hate taking along just minimal ID and cash. It should fit most cell phones, plus your keys, etc. Given the large carrying capacity for water with this pack, I'd generally want to carry along a snack or more than just the barest essentials. If you never carry much beyond something to drink, this is a good pack with lots of water carrying capacity. For me, I want one with a larger compartment. But it can be good for long walks - carrying one bottle of water, one of sports drink.
