Leki Traveller Fitness Walking Poles

The Bottom Line
The Leki Traveller Fitness Walking Poles are my top choice if you think you'll travel with your poles or carry them in your backpack. Adjustable length allows you to share them with friends, and they collapse to 26 inches for travel ease. The trigger-release strap keeps them with you when you walk but allows you to easily leave them behind for stops. For extra stability, for relief of strain on your hips, knees, and ankles, and for extra calorie burn, these poles are a good fitness tool.

Guide Review - Leki Traveller Fitness Walking Poles
Fitness walking poles are a great fitness tool for those who want to burn more calories per mile and to relieve stress on the hips, knees, and ankles. The Leki Traveller Fitness Walking Poles go from sidewalk to trail with ease. They have a carbide flextip for trail use, covered with a rubber fitness tip for use on pavement. You can easily pop off the fitness tip as you go from street to trail, and put it back on afterwards.

Adjustable Poles: The pole height adjusted easily, with a twist. I adjusted them a couple of times during my walk with ease, as you might do when going uphill or downhill. Markings on the poles help you get them back to your chosen length if you collapse them for storage or share them with a friend. They collapse down to 26 inches (66 cm), so you can store them in your luggage for air travel or carry them in your backpack.

Straps and Grips: The strap is a comfortable half glove with a trigger release so you can easily click and leave your poles behind when you stop to take photos, etc. The grip is comfortable CORE-TEC, although with the strap you barely touch the grip. The expedition-grade aluminum poles are lightweight and swing with ease.

Extras: The poles come with a storage hanger to keep them together and a handy travel bag with sling handle. The accompanying booklet tells clearly how to adjust and use the poles, with a stretching routine and walking workouts.
