Walking pants must move with you, wick away moisture, and keep you comfortable on your walks. I prefer modern technical fabrics that wick away sweat, but some will feel most comfortable in cotton. For long walks or for travel, you may want convertible pants so you don't have to pack or change into shorts when it warms up.

7. Junonia ActiveLife Pear Pant
I generally don't recommend cotton pants, but many walkers like the feel of cotton. These cotton/spandex pants come in a great range of sizes and in average, petite and tall lengths. For those of us with hard-to-fit bodies, that is important. They have zippered slash pockets at the hip, which I highly favor for walking. They come plus sizes 1X-6X and average, petite and tall lengths.
