What is Nordic Walking?:

Nordic Walking is a walking technique using fitness walking poles. It was developed as a fitness sport in Europe, where it remains very popular. The Nordic Walking technique uses more muscle groups for a better overall workout than just walking. It burns more calories per mile without much more perceived effort.

Nordic Walking Poles:

Nordic Walking fitness poles differ from trekking poles and other fitness walking poles as they have a hand strap or half glove, as the poles are released on the backstroke and need to snap back into your hand. The poles usually have a removable rubber tip for using on pavement and a spike tip for using on softer trails.
