Twelve walkers will walk across the USA in a 3100 mile relay walk starting April 18, 2006. The Sportline Steps Across America starts with a send-off by champion figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi in New York City from the Chelsea Piers and should end 14 weeks later in Paramount, California. The National Walkers will take turns walking 20 miles every 3 days.

The walk is sponsored by Sportline pedometers and features health rallies at Wal-Mart stores along the way. You can join in online with the 6-week Sportline Steps Across America President's Challenge.
