The Nightray has 4 LED bulbs for proximity lighting and a lensed central bulb that projects a good spotlight. You can adjust the angle of the beam and adjust the fit of the headlamp over your head, hat, or bike helmet. This headlamp is my first choice for night walking.

A headlamp gives you a hands-free option for night walking or running. Carrying a flashlight is a problem for those of us who use a vigorous arm swing. A headlamp provides steady light where you need it. The 5LED bulbs use little juice to give you plenty of light, so your batteries are less bulky and last longer than with standard bulbs. The Nightray model allows you to adjust the angle of the light so it hits the ground where you want it to. The straps around and across the head adjust for a good fit. I've worn this for 10 fast miles over a hat in the wind and it stayed put. The light weight made it comfortable to wear for hours.
