Greek Style Pizza Recipe

If you use a 12-inch Boboli or focaccia, 1/6 of the resulting pizza is 300 calories.

Pitas are far lower in fat. If using a pita, check the calories per pita or count your portion exchanges based on the nutrition information on the package.

Cook Time: 0 hour, 18 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup non-fat sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pita bread or italian bread shell such as Boboli
  • 2 medium roma tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup artichoke hearts (water packed), drained and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves torn in pieces.
  • 6 pepperoncini sliced and seeds removed
  • 6 Greek kalamata olives, pitted and halved
  • 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
Preparation:
1. Heat oven 425 degrees F

2. Stir together the sour cream, basil, and pepper and spread over the pita.

3. Top with tomatoes, artichoke hearts, spinach, pepperoncini, olives.

4. Sprinkle the feta on top of all.

5. Bake in oven on cookie sheet 14-18 minutes or until heated through.
