Guide Review - ScottEVest Short Sleeve Shirt
Carrying your iPod in a case clipped to your waistband or fanny pack can be a dicey proposition when you want to use the restroom en route. More than once I've had them pulled off and flung to the floor. I've discovered the hard way that you really shouldn't just stick your iPod or cell phone in your bra unless you bought a waterproof variety - I ended up with condensation inside the screen and a useless gadget till it dried out. I'm just not a fan of armbands for gadgets, either. The ScottEVest shirt is a handy alternative. First, it is a great walking or running shirt. It is made of soft, light wicking polyester, an excellent technical fabric that will keep you cool and dry. The styling is male/unisex. The sizes are roomy if you are a woman, and the length is over the hips.
Pockets for iPod or Cell Phone
The ScottEVest has a chest pocket and a dual side/back pocket specially designed and reinforced for carrying an iPod or cell phone. A problem sticking it into any old pocket is that the weight can end up stretching out the fabric or tugging too much on the neckline. The ScottEVest is designed to eliminate those problems. Each pocket closes with a zipper. They have cord ports from each pocket, and cord loops inside the garment so you can channel your cords and keep them under control. Calling this a "Personal Area Network" is a bit of hype, but they are convenient.Naturally, I often don't think of threading my cords into my garment until after I have put it on, but I found it fairly easy to do. I found it very easy to remove the cords after I'm done with my walk.
ScottEVest continues to develop their designs, so look for different configurations of pockets in updated versions. I really like this shirt and will be wearing it often.
