How can you keep your walking program from turning into a walking rut?

We've covered the best tools to get on track and keep progressing: setting goals, tracking your progress, celebrating successes. If you still find yourself hating to tie on your shoes, here are some more ways to keep your walking fresh.

Join a walking club
Live clubs give you many opportunities to make walking friends, and virtual clubs can also help keep your interest up.

Walking events
This is what got me walking and has kept me walking - enjoying the non-competitive AVA/IVV walking events held throughout the USA, Canada, and Europe. There are group events as well as self-guided trails you can do anytime.

Take a MindWalk
Spice up your walk with activities to relieve stress, stay motivated and nourish your soul.

Racewalk
When regular walking loses its thrill, maybe you need the workout, muscle building, and speed of racewalking. Imagine passing runners in a 10K run while walking - it happens when you learn to racewalk, even for beginners.

Walk of Life 10-Week Program
Each day of the Walk of Life Program includes a walking assignment, eating strategies, mind and motivation tips, and a community of other walkers with which to share your challenges and successes.

Marathon Training
Set a challenging goal for the future and begin training.
