Forget the other excuses, you just don't have the motivation to get started.

Bust it:
Just do it. Motivation comes from within you. Others can encourage, but it still takes YOU to motivate yourself.
Make yourself a promise to walk. Write it down. Tell others about your pledge. In this way your goal becomes something concrete and something shared, you have more commitment to it.
Have a good heart-to-heart talk with yourself. Ask why you don't want to walk or exercise. After you answer yourself, ask why again. Keep asking why until you get to an answer that may be closer to the real underlying reason. It could be a fear of failure - or a fear of success.
