The AVA US Presidents Walk Program rewards you for walking where an event or activity occured in relation to United States Presidents, such as a home, Presidential Library, or gravesite.
Follow the alphabet to complete 26 AVA-sanctioned walks, anywhere in the USA, to earn this special award. Each event's start city must begin with a different letter of the alphabet (example: Washington DC counts as a "W" walk). The events may be year-round self-guided trails or weekend group walks sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association.
Walk in each of the 50 US states and/or the 51 capitals - including Washington DC - to earn an award certificate. The events must be regular or year-round walking routes sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association.
This program rewards adults and youth who participate together in 12 AVA-sanctioned walking events in a year. An adult 19 years old or older signs up with a young person as a team. By completing 12 AVA-sanctioned walks in a year, they earn the titles of AVA Master Volkssporter and AVA Volkssporter.
The AVA College Campus Walk Program rewards you for walking AVA sanctioned walks through colleges and universities. Earn "degrees" based on how many walks you complete. Walks may be regular hosted group walks or self-guided year-round walking routes sanctioned by the AVA throughout the USA.
Commemorate the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery expedition by walking in the 11 states along their journey at sites visited by the expedition. The events may be year-round self-guided trails or weekend group walks sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association.

The walks may be regular weekend or year-round self-guided walking events in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island.
Walk 15 AVA-sanctioned walking events through Civil War battlefields or sites of significance to earn an award patch. These walks may be self-guided year-round walking routes or hosted weekend walking events. Weekend walks may be 5 kilometers - 10 kilometers (3-6 miles), self-guided walks are 10 kilometers or slightly longer. Walk at your own pace and soak up the history.
The California Golden Heritage Walk Program rewards you for walking 12 events in California parks, forests, visitor centers and museums. You must walk four separate walks in each of northern, central, and southern California.
