Shoes for Distance
I have been training for the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day DC walk which will be on May 5-7, 2000. We will be walking three 20 milers. I started my training back in December. I bought two pair of running shoes at Fleet Feet. They look at your foot, then they allow you to try on several pairs of shoes, they even let you walk outside while making this important decision. I find that stretching is KEY to my long distance walking. Now that I have found this site, I do believe that I would like to do a marathon walk. I have also found that for me, I have had to do "back to back" walking as I will be doing three days of 20 miles each. This is a challenge, but it is for a worthy cause. Audrey
