Facing the financial difficulties Avon 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk producer Pallotta TeamWorks, the Avon Foundation announced today in a press release that it fully expects the three remaining 2002 Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day events to proceed as planned.

"There is no question that we are committed to the participants and the beneficiaries, and to the responsible management of the funds raised," stated Kathleen Walas, President of the Avon Foundation, the 501(c)(3) public charity that grants monies raised by the events. "Avon looks forward to TeamWorks' full cooperation and shared determination to make the remaining three 2002 events safe and successful for all participants." Events are scheduled to take place in Atlanta (Oct. 4-6), New York (Oct. 11-13) and Los Angeles (Oct. 18-20). Breast Cancer 3-Day events have already been completed in ten other cities this year."

The Avon Foundation is launching a new series of walks, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, for 2003, without Pallotta TeamWorks as the event producer. Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
