Heartbreak for Mexico's Segura as he thinks he finishes gold, but was DQ'd just

Women's 20K Gold,
Sweat and Tears
The first-ever Olympic Women's 20K Walk came to a heart-wrenching conclusion as
the three leaders were each disqualified in turn in the last minutes of the
race. China's Wang Liping won the gold with a time of 1:29:05 as hometown
Australian favorite Jane Saville, in the lead by 14 seconds, was disqualified
right before entering the stadium.
Korzeniowski Makes
it Double and Triple Gold in the 50K Walk
Poland's Robert Korzeniowski makes Olympic history as he takes the gold in the
50K Walk to match his gold in the 20K Walk. But wait, there's more - he
was the gold medal winner in the 50K in 1996 as well.
No Respect for
Olympic Racewalkers
They are getting dissed on NBC, in Time Magazine and the Sydney Morning
Herald. Makes us long for the good old days in the 1800's when
walking was the top money-making sport!
