Photo Gallery - 2003 New York City Avon Walk for Breast Cancer |
The walk stopped for lunch at Empire Fulton Ferry State Park. We could see the Juvenile Diabetes Walk crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. This time I brought along a ziplock bag to use as an ice pack and I iced my leg and glutes during lunch, then did some good stretching.
The walk weaved its way through lovely Brooklyn Heights - I truly loved this area. Several people had little "garage sales" going on their stoops. I had to take this photo as my walking team has a rule that in order for a walk to "count" we have to either pet a critter, find money, go to a garage sale, or play on a playground.
Now we crossed the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan.
View from the Brooklyn Bridge.
