Day Zero - Avon 3-Day Walk
Day Zero Arrival

However you get there, Day Zero gives a great impression for how the rest of the walk will go.  Large signs direct you to each station as soon as you arrive.  Porta-johns are everywhere for your convenience.   Crew volunteers are immediately at your side to ask if you need directions.   You are enveloped in a caring, helpful society who want you to have a fantastic experience.

Luggage Drop-Off
A temporary luggage holding area (not secure) is provided for those who are going from Day Zero to their host hotel.  If you are spending the night at home, leave the luggage at home and bring it to Day One instead.

Check-In
Your first stop is the Check-In where you will show your photo ID and they will check to see if you have reached the minimum pledge level.
You will be given a check-in card that will be marked as you complete each  step, and a check-in information brochure which completely describes each step and has a map of the Day Zero site.  You sign the liability waiver also.
