Day Three - Avon 3-Day Walk
Morning Blisters

blister stuffNow we headed out again with plenty of walkers along the sidewalks and, again, few passing opportunities.  There was some conflict between those of us who took to heart the Safety Video admonition to ALWAYS pass on the left, and those who were going by the printed instructions and some other counseling which said to pass on the TRAFFIC SIDE.  blister signWhile I believe that it is correct to pass on the traffic side, we were about half and half as to who was adamant about which procedure.

I was now using a Band-Aid Blister bandage on the side of my left heel, bandages on my two big toes, and a brand new blister on the bottom of my fourth toe right foot.  Once I got the new one doctored up, I was good to go.

The day was pleasantly cool - I actually wore my jacket for awhile before strapping it to my waistpack.  We walked through Rockville and into Bethesda, passing the National Institutes of Health.
