Day Three - Avon 3-Day Walk
Packing It Up

gear wagonJust when you get used to camping, it's over.  We loaded up the trucks for the final day on a morning that was actually chilly.  Breakfast was from 5 am - 8 am and included filled pancake rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal, bagel, fruit, juices, hot drinks.

Today we got a two-page 3-Day Today detailing what to expect for the Closing Ceremonies.

3-Day TodayJust as I finished breakfast and was ready to get moving, I realized that I had packed my About.com hat with my luggage.  Doh!  I had the 3-Day scarf I bought at Day Zero, but needed something to keep the sun off my face.  I visited the General Store - they were out of caps but had visors.  I decided that the scarf and visor combo would work, although I knew Rich would never see me in the crowd at the Closing Ceremonies without my white About.com hat.  Oh, well - can't make the gear Crew dig through most of a truck for my bag to retrieve it!  The combination worked great for the rest of the day.
