AVA National Heritage Walking Program

About the Program:
The National Heritage Program rewards walkers who walk 10 AVA-sanctioned events in National Parks, National Historic Sites, National Battlefields, or National Cemeteries. The events may be weekend group walks or the self-guided "year-round" trails. The walking routes must be sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association.
Dates and Locations:
The AVA has sanctioned routes and scheduled events at national heritage sites throughout the USA. "Starting Point", the AVA's yearly guide to their self-guided trails, lists the National Heritage events among the 1400+ trails offered daily. Weekend events are listed on the AVA web site by state.
