Lewis and Clark Walking Program

About the Program:

Commemorate the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery expedition by walking in the 11 states along their journey at sites visited by the expedition. The events may be year-round self-guided trails or weekend group walks sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association. Lewis and Clark Program Site

Dates and Locations:

This program will begin on January 1, 2003 and run through December 31, 2007. A list of qualifying events is available online, plus designated in the Starting Point book of year-round self-guided walks.

Registration and Procedure:

Purchase the Lewis and Clark Record Book for $7, make check to AVA Lewis and Clark Special Program, 1404 Vicksburg Drive, Belleville, Illinois 62221. At one qualified event in each of the 11 states, stamp the book with the AVA event stamp.

Reward:

When you have completed one event in each state, redeem the book and a 4x6 100% embroidered Special Program Patch will be mailed to you as your award.
