College Campus Walk Program

About the Program:

The AVA College Campus Walk Program ended in 2008 and rewarded you for walking AVA sanctioned walks through colleges and universities. Earn "degrees" based on how many walks you complete. Walks may be regular hosted group walks or self-guided year-round walking routes sanctioned by the AVA throughout the USA.

Dates and Locations:

The program ran Jan. 1, 2004 through January, 2008. The AVA has sanctioned routes and scheduled events throughout the USA. "Starting Point", the AVA's yearly guide to their 1700 self-guided trails, with the events in the College Campus Program designated. Weekend events are listed on the AVA web site by state.

Rewards:

Each 5 walks earns a degree: Associate 5, Bachelor 10, Master 15, Doctorate 20. Diplomas are issued for each degree and a patch for completing the Doctorate. Walkers can submit each segment for a degree or submit it once completing all 20 walks. Submit the record book to Chris Mellen, College Campus Program, 90 Parham Rd., Tyngsboro, MA 01879-1269.
