For active walkers, runners, and bikers, the bars are great to take along because they have no coating to melt, yet stay in a nice easily-chewed consistency. No jaw strain, and no smeared coating of chocolate or yogurt on your fingers.
I tested two flavors - the Peanut Butter and the Almond Crunch. Both were pleasant with no weird aftertastes. They are less sweet, but just sweet enough. You don't need to wash them down with pints of water.
Each bar has 230 calories, with 18 grams of protein, 27 grams of carbohydrate, and 6 grams of fat. The higher protein makes them a good choice as a meal replacement - I use them as a breakfast bar or a trail lunch.
Vegetarians and those looking to eliminate wheat, gluten, and dairy will find this bar a welcome addition to their diet choices.
