Weight: Continuing down.
Rules for Phase 2: Easy to remember and follow - 1 fruit and 1 carb a day in addition to the Phase 1 foods.
Welcome Back: Red wine and chocolate. I far prefer milk chocolate, but if I must have dark or bittersweet chocolate, I'll switch.
Those Cheating Feelings: I am still not overly tempted to cheat, and I successfully kept control at buffets, fast food choices, pizza, chocolate buffet, etc.
Making Choices: I have been a label reader for years, since my husband is sensitive to certain ingredients. Now I simply add looking for the partially hydrogenated oils, tropical oils, sugar, total carbs to the things I look for on prepared foods. By doing this I chose the Dove bar rather than the Peanut Butter M&Ms, and learned that the Peanut M&Ms were a better choice as well.
Fast Food Choices: I was spurred to look up the best choices at the chains of fast food restaurants. Now I know that the grilled chicken caesar salad is the best choice at most of them. And I am reminded that it is almost as fast and easy to go to the nearest grocery store and buy a packaged salad or the ingredients for the same. Many grocery stores in my area have salad bars.
