The Bottom Line
I am very picky about shorts. This short blows me away - the fabric moves so well, it wicks away sweat in the hottest weather, and my friends say it makes my rear look smaller.
Update: These appear to be discontinued by Fall, 2006. I would suggest trying the Brooks Sherpa Shorts or Brooks MVP Shorts.

Guide Review - Brooks Ripped Runaround Shorts
I found these on a closeout rack and now I won't walk in any other shorts. I am very picky - the shorts must move with me and not restrict my leg motion. The CoolMax ripstop fabric combines airy comfort with strength. These are the lightest shorts I have, and they come down further than many pairs I have, yet they move with me and don't restrict my leg motion. I had steered away from pants and shorts with pockets so I wouldn't hook my thumbs with my arm motion, but have had no snags with the slit pockets on this design. The CoolMax fabric wicks away sweat to keep you cooler on the hottest days. And, yes, my walking buddy Nancy says they make my rear look smaller. I'm getting more pairs! Available in sizes S-M-L-XL.
