The sad truth is that as a society we have become so accustomed to having everything “automated”, we have lost touch with reality in many ways. We want instant gratification and find the internet the best medium to achieve this. And so we stay indoors sitting in a chair starring at our monitors for hours on end.
Our kid are transfixed by the online game sites, facebook and youtube. We as adults fair no better finding ourselves searching for the perfect mate on match.com and shopping for our walking sneakers online. “Real” activity have been replace by a virtual one.
Gone are the days when we actually go to malls to do our shopping, meet friends for a night out or simply enjoying a stroll through a park in the waning light of sunset.
